If you have any issues about how I play Alberich, you are encouraged to raise them with me here. Of course, I very much welcome use of examples with your problem, so I can have a better idea of what to fix. If you have questions about why Alberich did something or why he did so in the way he did, those are also encouraged.

Character Basics
Character Name Alberich Series/Canon Heralds of Valdemar

Canon Details Alberich's about two years into the the approximately four-and-a-half year long Tedrel Wars.
Character Details
Age around 27/28 Hair/Eyes Black hair, dark grey eyes which can shift into green or brown depending on the lighting.
Height/Weight Tall, extremely buff in the way of someone who does a lot of different physical activities. Notable Traits Alberich has a lot of scars, basically everywhere. The most recent ones come from being cut up a bit. Older ones include well-healed but fairly extensive burn scars.
15 Second Summary Alberich was born and raised in Karse, the country which historically hates the country of Valdemar. After working hard in the army to protect people from bandits, Alberich would have been burned alive by the priests who discovered his psychic gift if a magic horse from Valdemar hadn't saved him and Chosen him to be a Valdemaran Herald. Now he's the weaponsmaster's second at the Collegium, and also does undercover work rooting out shady activity in the capital city, and also is the heir's bodyguard, and also maybe he should sleep sometime? Alberich is a Very Serious Herald who takes Duty and Honor and Faith Very Seriously and definitely has no hidden dry sense of humor.

Clothing Alberich turned up in his variant on the Herald's uniform, which is dark grey instead of white (white is a stupid uniform color). It's very high fantasy, with a leather jerkin over a shirt and breeches, plus heavy leather boots. And a sword belt with a sword and dagger. There's also a knife in one of those boots. He got the James Sunderland cosplay on arriving, perhaps he won't wear as much weaponry with that. Or maybe he will.
Abilities & Permissions
Abilities Alberich has two psychic Gifts: Mindspeech and ForeSight.
Mindspeech lets him talk to other psychics telepathically. His is particularly strong, but that just means distance doesn't mean much to him, not that he can "talk" to anyone who isn't psychic themselves.
ForeSight does two things: the dramatic version is visions of something that will happen in the near future, something that he has the ability to affect. His visions are pretty well confined to dangerous situations where foreknowledge of something could really help others. The less dramatic version is that he gets strong hunches about situations and people which turn out to be right.

Also he's stupid good at fighting.
Permissions I'm okay with pretty much anything! I'd just want to talk about anything involving violence to plot it out properly.
Sensing If you're cool with Alberich getting a feeling for whether your character is trustworthy or not, let me know! Otherwise, his ForeSight just won't have anything to say about your character.

Alberich has two supernatural powers. The first is Mindspeech, which is pretty straightforward telepathy. Canonically, Alberich can "talk" telepathically to anyone else with Mindspeech.

The second is ForeSight (I don't capitalize these things, Lackey does), which gives visions of the future. Alberich's ForeSight has always been very limited- he can't control when he gets it, and he only sees targeted visions of something he can affect that's going to happen in the next few hours.

But it is also implied that his ForeSight gives Alberich accurate intuition from time to time, about how things are generally going to go or who's trustworthy.


And so, two questions for you!

1. If your character is psychic, would Alberich be able to use Mindspeech to "talk" to them?

2. Would Alberich be able to get a hunch that your character is trustworthy or not?
